I like sci-fi, don't get me wrong - but this had too much technical detail that did not move the story forward or that was unnecessary to believe the situation. The story felt repetitive and drawn out and then ended abruptly. The characters felt like echoes of the first book's characters. There wasn't much to differentiate the one group from the other. I liked the world, and felt the book had potential but that it didn't really meet it.
