I was skeptical that anything could live up to the Warriors of Poseidon, but since this books plays in the same world, I was willing to give it a shot.
I like the tie in, I still like the world and getting to expand in it, more creatures, more fun.
Alejandro is a great character, even though we only get a glimpse of him and the special team, I hope we see him (and his lady), again.

Underdeveloped world and plot. This is a short story that could be an amazing novel. It has fun and interesting characters and a world with potential.

Insta love occurs. But if you go in with the expectation that this is a short and sweet fated-love story then you will enjoy it.

~ 4 Sorceress Stars ~

Alejandro’s Sorceress clearly takes place in the world of the Warriors of Poseidon series, since it has some of the same Atlantans within the book. I have only read book one [b:Atlantis Rising|396929|Atlantis Rising (Warriors of Poseidon, #1)|Alyssa Day|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1388350770s/396929.jpg|386403], but have the rest on my list to read. Alejandro’s Sorceress is not a hard book to get into even if you have not read the series yet. It clearly stands on its own. I was laughing, smiling, and having a blast reading this story!

The romance is fast paced, but cute. I prefer to spend more time with a couple, but the humor that Ms. Day added to this story drew me away from it being an insta-love. Rose, the garden witch was a great character. I enjoyed her strength, the crazy family she has, and that she takes no crap from an alpha male. Alejandro, a P-Cop was a fun character. He is alpha, cares about his friends, and wants to protect. I enjoyed seeing him get all alpha when his Atlantan friends show up. The epilogue was great. It had me smiling for the couple. I also liked the little peek we get into the Atlantis world.

Alejandro’s Sorceress is part of the Dark and Deadly box set. This was a fun, humors, and sweet romance. We have magic and fate. With a weird witch family and some hot Atlantans making an appearances. I had a smile on my face throughout this story!

I needed something light and fluffy after that last horror, and this definitely worked. It was entertaining, but the insta-lust/love didn’t quite work for me, especially in a novella. I might be interested in reading other books by the author, though. The premise about the Special Ops for fantastical creatures was good, and I liked the humor.

I just keep waiting for more. More to unfold. More information. More character development. It just didn't happen. I didn't know if this was a pre-novella or the first in a series before I read, so I went in a little green. The end was a bit confusing until I read the sneak peak of Atlantis Rising. The sneak peak gave me more enjoyment though. Writing wasn't bad - so I may check out the others.

This is the second novella that I read today, and (surprisingly for me) it worked well. There was external plot to keep my interest, family dynamics, reference (without being overwhelming) to characters from other books. This is the first I've read by this author, but I seem to be in the mood for fluffy paranormal, so I will probably read more.
