Lucy, Lucy, Lucy. The slow burn queen of my life.

I hadn't connected with characters in a book like this one for several reads.

Brick's character and his overprotectiveness was so perfect for the carefree, wild spirit that Remi is, especially in her time of need.

I can't tell you how many times I was screaming for them to finally get together and when they did, my kindle went flying (in a fit of joy, obviously).

I do always find it interesting how Lucy can interweave a bit of action into her novels while keeping it heavily romance-focused.

First half was tough! Second half picked up and made it a much better read. Brick and Remi - secret crushes on each other since high school, went separate ways and then drama brings Remi back to her hometown and into Bricks arms. He’s the town hero pretty much and a cop/bar owner. Shes the crazy girl with no filter or boundaries who because a famous artist that no one knows about. Didn’t like how he married her best friend and continued to deny her but then she gave in as soon as he let her. Romance with good drama, small town, friends to enemies to lovers, best friends and brothers and family issues. Writing POV was tough for me. But loved how it ended and turned out.

this has got to be the worst lucy score book i've read thus far. should've known better as soon as i read the character's names. like... remington honeysuckle? brick? you're joking. then to add on: their age gap complete with brick definitely wanting to bang remi when she was a teenager and he was a 20 something year old man. jesus. don't recommend like at all.

This took forever to get through because I became a mood reader while reading it and thus, my mood changed. I was about to DNF it until later but I forced myself to continue reading and I’m glad I did because my mood did an 180 and I was enjoying the book again.

I want to live on Mackinac Island!! I need to visit it. This has me feeling all the feels!!!! The places/islands are not fictional, they are very much real and part of the US.

I need a Brick in my life. Everyone needs a Brick in their life. Whooo lawdddd
