There are so many things I dislike about this book, but here are the highlights: a cast of unlikable characters led by a 17-year-old who unrealistically and boringly has her entire life figured out and is immensely talented; corny, cringey writing that includes unnecessary details about everyone's physical appearance (Amber "tucks" her bangs behind her ear or has them "tucked" behind her ear for her [omg] a half dozen times); a groany plot twist that makes zero sense based on the entire book's character development; an audiobook narrator who over-enunciates and "does" the male and female voices like a third-rate community theater actor; and a "message" about bullying and suicide that falls absolutely flat because of the poor plot and character development and the poor writing.

Reading this book was a waste of time. Do not waste yours.

A psychological thriller with an unpredictable ending, this book is to die for!! (No pun intended ;)) I absolutely loved this book, and as you deep dive into the lives of these characters, the good turn bad and the bad turn good time and time again. Five stars!!!

This was a decent book for me and I’m glad I read it. It was definitely a binge worthy book but it just didn’t have that huge thrill factor for me. The flashbacks as important as they were I found were just making the story long and complicated. Especially since they then shift into the “now” and it already kind of explains what happened.

When we found out who the culprit was it was shocking definitely because it was just kind of thrown in there and it was not expected. However finding out the reason why the whole thing happened made a lot more sense for the culprit. I was happy with the person they chose.

Overall, 3.5 stars and I do recommend but I wouldn’t say to get your hopes up too much.
