what a short and sweet lil novella! had me hooked from the moment I started reading it.. I've met a few of these mothers in my life time.... utterly terrifying.

Miller why were you so stupid bestie? Seriously, don't give narcissistic folks second chances, they'll never deserve it. This was fucked, but it got me out of my 2 month reading slump, so I appreciate out of this story.

It was well written and the perfect length, but man was Miller an idiot. Poor Florence not knowing what could have happened to her fiance. Or maybe she rescues Miller and gives Sylvie what's coming to her.

predictable and wasn’t a fan of the writing — as for the story, many elements and character relationships could have been fleshed out more to make us care — but for what it’s worth this novella does what it came to do, and that’s trigger me and creep me the fuck out

Short, but quite creepy.  The narcissistic manipulations were just as scary as the horror elements, if not more so.

Is this a bad book? No. Does this book regurgitate certain ideals in a more watered-down way? Yes. My main gripe with this book is that it’s not telling me anything I don’t already know. Maybe that’s just because it wasn’t written for me, but still a solid piece.
