As someone who works with children on the Autism Spectrum, this was a very informative book that gives a nice overview of topics related to Autism. Sicile-Kira notes that her information is in no way meant to be exhaustive, which I would agree with, but it is a good place to start. It also includes some great resources specifically for teachers, parents, siblings, ect., which is very helpful. Overall, a perfect book to start learning about and understanding ASDs.

Chantal's writing adds little new to the discussion, and oversimplifies other issues. It's not necessarily that it's a bad book, or that it has lots of misinformation. It's just that there are other, more comprehensive books about autism that do it better.
