At times, things that happened in this book seemed way too crazy to be real. "Watergate was a brazen and daring assault, led by Nixon himself, against the heart of American democracy: the Constitution, our system of free elections, the rule of law” (Woodward and Bernstein, 40th anniversary afterword in All the President’s Men). The Nixon White House was full of lies, espionage (involving at least 50 operatives, illegal wiretaps etc.), burglary (Watergate and attempted at the Brookings Institution to destroy documents) sabotage (of the election and of political rivals) and other morally bankrupt actions (Nixon approving the scheme for CIA to interfere in FBI Watergate investigation, illegal campaign funds, etc.). The extent of Nixon and his men’s illegal activities is staggering, and an important story to know. I am grateful for the first amendment in action.
There are a lot of names to follow- I think the physical copy of the book would be best because you can always refer back to the list of people at the front.

I decided to finally read this book because it was referenced on the CWs nancy Drew. I'm not sure what that says about me as a person, but Nancy Drew has great taste in books.
