I really enjoyed learning about Cuban history. I thought some of the conversations in the book were too long and too repetitive. I liked how the author tied in the characters from Next Year In Havana and set up the story line for further stories.

Could not put this book down!!!! I thought Next Year in Havana was good, but When We Left Cuba is a 10/10 for me! Can't wait for more books by Chanel Cleeton.

I really enjoyed this book. A lot. However, I did prefer Next Year in Havana more.

Beatriz's story line was introduced in a gripping way which made me so interested in her story. Her story is one of espionage and politics. Finding your own way and romance. How gossip can affect your reputation and how to use your assets to your advantage.

The story, at times fell a little flat for me. There was a strange attempt at a love triangle, and I really don't care for infidelity in my romance. Beatriz's story could also be teetering on this precipice of life and death that kept me so gripped and intrigued.

Overall, so good. Such an incredible continuation of this story!

This was great on audio! I really enjoyed the narrator and she brought so much to Beatriz's story!

I enjoyed this one more than Next Year in Havana - Beatriz is such a fascinating character. If you're interested in reading more about the Cuban Revolution, then this series is a great place to start.

I really liked this for the most part. I hated that Beatriz was so snotty and holier than thou for most of the book, but I could overlook that with the plot.

Not as historically detailed as the first one, but very good for a different perspective of the times.
