Illustrated poem. Beautiful illustrations and words, easy read-aloud to take your time looking at pictures with not a ton of words to read.

Really lovely: all the world is you and me, from "rock, stone, pebble, sand" to "everything you hear, smell, see".

I bought this book on a whim for my daughter's collection and it quickly became my favorite (she prefers books about owls but she does like this one. 14 month olds. What can you do.)
The pictures are gorgeous, and the message is so wonderful and sweet and makes me tear up when I read it. Hope and peace and love and trust, all the world is all of us. Exactly the message I want to give to my daughter these days. I'll definitely be giving it to friends for their babies, too!

Heartwarming words and beautiful illustrations. This book falls into the genre of "baby shower gifts" particularly for hippie parents like my friends. I adore it as a love story. That being said, I wouldn't use within the library because it's just too sweet and lends itself to one on one sharing. It should end with a top-of-the-head kiss.

Big, awesome illustrations, though disappointingly plotless and a little hippy dippy (as my grandma would say) for a picture book. Yes, we are all all the world. All of it. Everything. Ok. Got it.
