I think this book is the shortest of the trilogy, and it definitely felt like it... but other than that, an excellent read as always!

(Also so... Magnus defeats Loki with the power of friendship? What kind of anime plotline is this?)

Okay so I can now say definitively that this series is the most fun I've had with a Riordan story since the OG Percy Jackson books. Riordan just does his best work with a humorous, kinda dumb, first person narrator. The stakes don't feel as high in this book as Percy Jackson, and the characters are not quite as vivid, but it's still a fun series. Without nostalgia to enhance my enjoyment I probably won't reread these books, but I'd wholeheartedly recommend them to any Riordan fans looks for something new.

This one fella bit flat for me and I found my attention wandering to the point that I had to reread entire pages. It just didn't hold my attention as Riordan's other books have done (including the previous two from this trilogy).
