Deal Takers: A Frenemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy
Dealing with Love, Volume 2
By: Laura Lee
Narrated by: Stephanie Murphy

I love to listen to a book and just sit back and enjoy it. Not a lot of angst, but a good story and if funny, that is just a plus. Laura Lee hits all those buttons with this second book in her Dealing with Love series. Brody meets Rainey in the hospital under unusual circumstances. He is smitten with her, but she is not interested. They run in mutual circles so over several years, they spend time together, and Brody never lets up. Their flirty banter is so funny and entertaining, it really makes the book fly by. I loved every minute of this adventure. Rainey is quite the woman. I find her very easy to relate to, thinking she knows what she wants, but finds out things are not always what they are cracked up to be. Brody is every girl's dream. The good looking, smart and tenacious, unrelenting man that never gives up. It flits back and forth in time, but is easy to follow and lets us get a good understanding of their relationship. Once you start this gem, you will not want to stop, it's that good!

Stephanie Murphy is the narrator and she is so talented. Her comedic timing is spot on and I love her voices. She adds so much to the story with her performance and I really enjoyed it.

I loved Rainey and Brody. Their banter was highly entertaining, Brody was a pro at pushing Rainey’s buttons and she was always ready with wit, sass and sarcasm.

You could definitely feel the chemistry between them from the moment they met. The way it built over the passing years until the moment they gave in and their chemistry exploded with passion and emotions.

I adored Brody he was always quick with sarcasm and ridiculous comments but underneath all that he was incredibly sweet. Rainey was sassy and kept her heart guarded due to past hurts. You could feel the intensity of emotions grow between them which at some points brought a tightness in my chest and a tear to my eye.

I’m excited to read Drew’s story. I really love this world that Laura Lee created the whole group has stolen a piece of my heart.

Hahaha 😂😂 This book had me cracking up, it is so much fun reading from Brody's perspective - there is no filter and it is so hilarious!

That being said, I absolutely adored this book. After reading Deal Breakers I knew I would be in for a treat with book #2 and it surpassed all my expectations.

The banter between Brody and Rainey was so good that I knew it would be hot as hell once they agreed to the deal.
And O. M. G. Was it hot! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
So sexy, so dirty and so raw... I'm actually kind of jealous.

Then come the feelings (not mine, the characters)

"There’s so much more to Brody than he lets people see. And I adore every part..."

It was easy to see that these two were perfect for each other and I'm so happy they pulled their heads out and took a chance at their HEA.

Off to read Rule Makers now- I hope I get to read more about these two in the next book because I feel like there is more left to discover about these wonderful characters

Easy to read, hard to put down and fucking delicious 😋 thanks Laura Lee for another fab read!

Rainey and Brody
I don’t know if it’s because we met these characters in book 1 or what but I was invested so much more in this book. Rainey and Brody are both stubborn, smartass people from the moment they met. Rainey wants to ignore the thoughts Brody makes her have and Brody makes every comment into something dirty

This is a laugh out loud sexy romp! Don’t miss it!

I am just loving this series of Laura Lee’s, the characters are so great, they are real and you will have a tough time not connecting with them. It’s going to make you want to keep reading and never stop.

Brody is a player and his ultimate prize is Rainey. But they have a lot of obstacles in their way. This story is so much more than laughs and sex, although there is a lot of both of those, this is a story of two people taking on these obstacles and moving past them.

Go grab these books, you are going to love spending time with Brody, Rainey, Drew, Devyn, Riley, Nathan and Charlee. Trust me on this.

This was definitely way more interesting than the first book, I really loved Brody and Rainey, all their interactions were amazing and their banter was the best.

Brody was hilarious, I loved how flirty and crazy he was and how he always tried to charm Rainey through the years. Rainey was six years older than him but she loved to bicker with Brody. They had a lot of chemistry but never acted on it because Brody was a womanizer and Rainey was in a relationship.

After 5 years of knowing each other they’re both single so they decide to start a fling with no strings attached. I loved their steamy scenes, they couldn’t keep their hands off each other and I loved how adventurous they were. Little by little they started caring about the other, and while Rainey didn’t want to admit it it was obvious they both had deeper feelings. It took them a while to figure out how to be in a real relationship and after some drama they finally realized they were perfect together.

It was a really enjoyable story, and now I can’t wait to read Drew and Charlotte’s story.

I recently read Deal Takers by Laura Lee – and let’s just say that I caught myself laughing a lot, at the characters, at the storyline and at the entire situation.

Brody Harris is an all-time playboy - in every sense of the word. And he’s the one that had me laughing hard. I loved getting to know him as an individual. And even though he plays the game, he’s enthralled with Rainey O’Neil. I loved seeing him interact with her, and trying as hard as he can to “get to know her better”. She obviously was hard to get, but was definitely attracted to him.

I was impressed with Laura and her ability to create a world that can capture your attention and maintain it throughout the entire book. I definitely enjoyed this book, and felt like I couldn’t get away from. I had to find out what was going to happen, and how the characters were going to figure out their situation. Definitely a 4 Star Book for me.

Deal Takers is hilarious! I was laughing so hard from start to finish. Brody is the textbook definition of book boyfriend. He is funny and swoony and so sexy! He and Rainey are the perfect compliment to eachother. This is a five star read and a must read!

Hilarious, hot, sweet, and perfect!

This is my favorite rom-com that I’ve read this year! As soon as I started it I was laughing my butt off and couldn’t put it down. I was hooked on the story line and invested in the characters.

Brody is the typical bad boy, playboy. He has an ego to match the size of “Thor.” He, as proven in his history, can get whatever girl he wants. That is, until he meets feisty, confident Rainey on an unexpected trip to the ER. He refuses to give up without a fight! I couldn’t get enough of their banter! Their chemistry sparked off the pages, and it caused an awesome amount of sexual tension that we just waited to watch explode.

These two have the absolute best meeting that I’ve read in a long time. I was laughing so hard I was crying. It was so hilarious. The comedy doesn’t stop there though! This was the perfect rom-com.

I loved seeing the whole gang again from the previous book. You can read this as a standalone but I highly recommend you check out the first in the series, Deal Breakers, first. You will get to know so many of the characters and fall in love with them just like I did!

Told in dual POV this story allows for a hilarious, and sometimes emotional, look directly into both of the main characters minds. It made connecting with them very easy and I couldn’t help but fall in love with both of them and become their number one fan!

Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.
