This book is about the struggle of a young black boy to discover who he is and who he wants to be. It was a decent read, but I think there were a lot of storylines mixed up. I think maybe the book was trying to do too much, so it didn't do any of them in an astonishing read. I finished this in one three-hour sitting, it was easy to read, and lots of students will be engaged in the text.
