This may be my first Jennifer Weiner book but it won’t be my last. I loved all the difficult topics she tackled in this book. I loved the body positivity she tried to push as the overall theme. I’ve always been the biggest girl in my friend group. Always the one trying to lose weight. Always trying to look like someone else - just thinner so this book hit home a lot. The teenage pregnancy and access to planned parenthood was also a good storyline.
The Breakaway Tour made me so interested in biking that I started googling bike tours around the south.

What a good read. This was my first time reading anything by this author and I was pretty impressed. I enjoyed seeing how the author was able to weave tough topics into a story in such a way that didn’t feel too heavy. I also appreciated the focus that was put on body positivity.

This was a very character driven story and it’s told through multiple points of view. The main focus of the story is the romance between Abby and the two main male characters.

Topics covered:
→ Body positivity
→ Metal Health
→ Woman’s right to choose
→ Mother/daughter dynamics

Thank you Atria Books for sending me a gifted copy to review.

I wouldn't normally give a 5 star, but I really loved this book. Wiener's main character is just so flawed- her inability to see that other people don't always see her for her shape or weight- made me a little crazy, but I just couldn't put it down. It definitely made me what to get on my own bike a little more.
