a book that's full of information. It's a lot to take in so I think I'd have to read it again to rate it higher.

When I saw this book, I knew I had to read it. I wanted to learn more about the situations in Africa. Especially how other powers want to keep them poor.

actually surprised to find out that the writing in this book isn’t dense and hard to get through like i imagined it to be. it’s quite accessible actually, and provides you with so much context and new information... crucial read. every european needs to engage with this text carefully.

This was such an interesting classic! I really enjoyed the perspective I have never read from before and how he connected the different historical events and dots in a understandable way. This book has influenced me and I will recommend it to everyone!

I do have to add that there were parts in the book that dragged on for me personally and that I wish were just a bit shortened.

Essential reading for understanding colonialism. The book has some limitations being written in 1970s, but overall holds up well.
