This book had me in a chokehold and has become my new favourite enemies to lovers trope! The journey of emotions this sent me through was insane. To never wanting to put it down to coming towards the end and not wanting to finish it. This has become a new favourite 😍

Violet - dragon rider in training, student at a war college, daughter of a general - faces significant trials and tribulations in her first year at the college, especially in the form of her group’s leader the devastating and frustrating Xaden. Read the official description for this one cause I can’t simplify it better.

Holy cats. This book was great. The narration was excellent (Soler) until the male voice, as I had gone through the whole book with a different image in my mind. I am sure it will be fine if I hear the next one with it. I am SO EXCITED that the next one comes out in November. NOT for teens, as there are some very graphic sexy times. This has all the ingredients for a very popular series. I will not be surprised to hear about it for a LONG time.

LOVEDDDD this book. It had some influences of both Divergent and ACOTAR that I was loving.

I really enjoyed the main character and I appreciated how this was a fantasy book without all the cringe fantasy vocabulary that normally comes with it (i’m looking at you SJM). This would be a great intro to fantasy book. Can’t wait for the next one!!!!!!!

reread review:
I have not shut up for the last month about this book. the hints and foreshadowing the second time around were perfect. i have such high hopes for this series!
