I’m a little late to the party, since Hawkeye just ended but never the less I wanted to read the comics. These were a little darker then the ones I’ve read. It was a little bit of a bore but Lucky, Katie, and Clints humor made up for it.

This graphic novel lives up to the hype. Matt Fraction delivers a Hawkeye who’s just a guy. No superpowers. And a girl. Kate Bishop, who literally holds Clint together and keeps him accountable. This graphic novel is what I picture when I think of Clint Barton.

With the show coming out, I thought I would revisit the graphic novels. Good thing I did too. There are a few call backs from the show to this graphic novel. The story is a bit different and that’s okay. But the vibe is pretty similar.

Highly recommend this read.

This was a mixed bag for me, but I definitely liked getting more of a look into Clint Barton as a character. I feel like I got a better header on what he's like as a person, since my only exposure to him is really the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Nice way to learn more. Will definitely be reading more whenever I get the chance.

This book is genuinely very funny. Fraction’s writing is enjoyable. Kate is such a nice match for Clint and Lucky is the obvious star of the book.

I adore this version of Hawkeye. The art is gorgeous and I love the focus of Clint Barton's life outside of the Avengers.

Loved the issue where Arrow, Hawkeye's dog, was the lead storyteller. Hip and fun series.

Possibly the best comic series ever. Hawkeye is a delight from beginning to end. Just as fresh and compelling as the first time around.

Absolutely gleeful to see Aja take the reins as the illustrator for the second half of this volume (not all issues, but most). First half is the same collection as My Life as a Weapon, the rest is the next issues in this series written by Matt Fraction, but alas, the marvelous pizza dog POV being the last issue included does not totally dissuade my disgruntlement at an effective cliffhanger at the end of this volume. On to the next!
[Yes, the rest was by turns emotional, adorable, action-packed and hilarious - at this point, I expect nothing less. 🏹🎯].

I don't know if I had the wrong expectations going into this, but I just found this collection to be kind of repetitive? This is the first Hawkeye I've read, and I'd hoped to come out of it wanting to explore the character more but apart from a couple of highlights (the dog chapter!) it left me feeling pretty meh.
