I loved this so much! I haven't read many Marvel comics yet, and this was only my second run of Cap I got my hands on, but in my opinion it was perfect. I loved the art, I loved Steve's narration, I enjoyed the story a lot. It tackles one of the most defining relationships in Steve's life, and gives a lot of insight to it as well as Steve's character. I'll definitely read it again.

All of Loeb & Sale's "color" books are meditations on classic heroes and surround something or someone they love. This one deals with Cap's relationship with Bucky, and his guilt - shortly after coming out of the ice - over Bucky's apparent death. In so doing, it tells a raucous tale of French resistance and the Howling Commandos dealing with an occupied France with Red Skull at the center. Solid examination and good storytelling for any Cap fan.
