It has been, oh, wow, a quarter of a century since i read the Zahn books these graphic novels are based on. I found it quite nice to get back with the original Extended Universe, before the reset after Disney bought the rights to Star Wars. The graphic novel is nicely done and adds to the books, in that it provides some visuals. I recommend it if you've read the Zahn books.

I liked the novels a lot so was happy to finally get a chance to read the comic adaptation. The results were a little off. I preferred the art used for the first two novels to that of the third, although the way the letter u was made in the first novel looked like an n and it drove me crazy for a while.

But the final result still seemed a little off to me. The narrative of the story would just jump to something else without a very smooth transition, or no transition at all, making me feel as if important parts were cut out to stay within the number of issues allotted for each novel. If that was the case, it would have been nice to put it back in for the graphic novel, otherwise, more issues in each series might have been better.
