I couldn’t care about Tess or the crimes she was exploring. I’m disappointed because I’ve enjoyed a number of other books by Ms. Lipman.

This was an ok read - I will continue to listen to the series as it's a great car listen - not too taxing on the brain, but I figured out WAY too early who did it. Makes me appreciate how good the Louise Penny books are...

"Her life might not have the party-all-the-time euphoria of a beer commercial, but it was definately heading into International Coffee territory."

A fun sequel to Baltimore Blues. I like Tess and the quirky characters around her. I especially enjoy listening to these on audios. I will be continuing the series.

I started the series after reading other of Lippman's books. These are ok but they are slow. I do like the main character so I will probably continue reading.

My favorite character in this series is Baltimore, not Tess. But I love the Baltimorean ambience that seeps from each page, and I think I'm up for the next in this series.
