The premise was really good. The execution was kind of paint by numbers. Characters were pretty stock, and world building was thin.

However, thanks to clever techology, many people are now able to "see". When a witness to a murder reports the killer was nothing but a dark blob, homicide Detective Mark Owens is reluctant to accept the statement at face value. Before long, he knows the witness is telling the truth, but will be able to convince his fellow detectives? And can Mark find out who is behind the rising murder count and why? Imagine a world where a virus hits and makes everyone blind. Then imagine one where sight has been returned, but only for those who can afford it or be lucky enough to be gifted the necessary equipment.
Vidders make it so people can see again, and also introduces all sorts of technology and enhancements unheard of before. They also introduce ways to manipulate crime and chaos which makes for a very fun read.
Blind Spots is fast-paced and hard to put down. It has a unique storyline that is perfect for fans of the Dystopian genre and is one I recommend.
