I don't think I've read through an entire book and just disliked the character from start to end. I. Guess he's a decent guy but really, Nick just rubbed me wrong the whole time. Ugh. I only finished this because it was for a reading challenge. I had no interest in the story. And this was definitely the most mismatched couple I've ever seen in a book.

I'll admit I approached this one with some trepidation... I wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't really want to have to read about a geeky professor fumbling his way into a gay relationship.

Well, lucky for me, I was totally wrong. Yes, Henry was a brain, and while outwardly might have seemed a bit of a geek, underneath it all was a very strong, sexy personality.

And NIck? Well let's just say that J.M Cartwright managed to again stay away from the stereotypical dumb jock-like character and instead gives us a sexy man who is trying to make the best of everything life has thrown at him.

The relationship that builds feels so real. The ups and downs. The interfering influences of family members. And simply the different approaches to life in general. But it's a great story to watch unfold.

This story again shows me why I truly enjoy reading this author's work!

2.75 Stars This was an opposites attract story with a twist...A geek who was not really geeky at all and a beast that was far from beastly...I thought it was funny and very smexy, and overall enjoyed it.

The story went off track in the end, and I just got muddled up in too many tangents. I did like it, but the second half was not as good as the first half for me.

I loved this book so much!! I really enjoyed the switch up of having the nerd being much more self assured and confident, and have the "typical dude" being more bumbling. I did get a tad annoyed with Henry at a couple of points but it's easily pushed aside. I wish there was more resolution to the subplot featuring Grant's girlfriend. It was also nice to have a Dad that wasn't just dealing with his son's homosexuality, but that accepted it. *sigh* Great read!
