I read this beacause its been on my shelf since 5th grade and i never got to it. There was one description in this book that really stood out as not okay, Mr.Bridal(also mr.bridal? Really?) Is described as looking like "an old indian cheif in settlers clothes" this book was written in 2017 and needs to get qith the program. Other then that the plot was completely inacurate to real horse riding, taking a hot horse who isnt able to be written by very experianced riders and giving it to a girl who has never been on a horse and is terrifyed of them is not a good idea and the fact that they bond and suddenly shes an amazing rider with no training is completely inaccurate. This type of plot in choldrens books is dangerous because if that child reads it then goes to, for example, a summer camp and theres a horse there thats only to be ridden by instructors or not ridden at all. These kids could belive that they can ride them and mimic the book in that respect. Which will end in complete disastor. The complete disobedience of authority in this book can lead to kids being inpolite at best and off sneaking out riding "unridable" horses at worst. This book being what it is was disappointing, especially with the authors' adult work being so stunning.
