These 4 stories took very different approaches to fear. They were engaging from beginning to end. I have found myself thinking of the stories and what comes next for all of the characters. I look forward to reading more from all 4 authors and seeing what new worlds they explore.

I was provided this ARC by one of the authors in exchange for an honest review. There are 4 stories by 4 different authors, as well as sneak peeks over books by each author. I don’t typically read anthologies but this one sounded so intriguing.
The Missing by Kristi Helvig was a good story. I was guessing until the end. I would have liked a little more to it but I enjoyed it. Solid 3 stars. The sneak peek of Wing Collector left me wanting to know what happened next. It seemed a little scattered but I will be finding this book to read in full. I would give this story 2 stars.
My Final Gift by Sue Duff left me with my mouth hanging open. I had not expected what happened. I would love to read a full length book based on this story. This is a 5 star story. Fade to Black - I need to know more about these visions and how a magician plays into it all. 5 stars and I will be trying to find this book.
The Escape Room by A.G. Henley also left me with my mouth hanging open. It makes me rethink going into another escape room. It gave me chills. Probably because even though there is a remotely small chance, something like this COULD happen. I also loved how it did a countdown. This story was 5 stars in my opinion. The Scourge sneak peek was definitely a different genre than The Escape Room. I’m interested in knowing what happens next. It seems like it could be a fantasy/horror type book. 3 stars.
Things That Just Are by Corinne O’Flynn caught me by surprise. I didn’t see that coming. For that, I give the story a 2. I didn’t like the whole ‘file this under’ theme. I felt it was definitely overdone. It was such a short story and it repeated those words numerous times. Ghosts of Witches Past is a 3. Another one where I am curious as to what happens next.
Overall, the anthology is 3.5, rounded up to 4. I appreciate the opportunity to read these stories. If you are a fan of fantasy, this is definitely the anthology for you. I did like how they each had their own suspenseful angel.
