I liked this series when I started it. Now I am not sure whether I have outgrown them or if the books are getting worse.

As the fourth book in the the Maximum Ride Series, i would expect nothing less. I felt that the plot was well thought out and this book compared to the others in the series had a heightened sense of mystery and suspense. After Max's mom is kidnapped, the flock travels to Hawaii, where they think she might be held. Max and Fang finally "click," and they go on their first date. I thought that the fact that Max and Fang have finally realized their feelings for each other might get in the way of other flock business. All in all, this book was great.

Started today, Halloween 2012.
Not too much Halloween here in Germany, it started just after 5 pm, when it got dark outside, but neither make-up nor dresses.
One would-be ghost, but wearing a warm jacket on top, it's cold outside in Germany, luckily not rain.
Most snacks I rather eat myself and they are good till at least March 2013 (Mini-Sniggers, Mini-Kitkat etc. from Aldi). No Photostream for these boring people. That was different (2009? 2010? 2011 was also very boring).
Got better with the next group, also mostly girls, some wearing make-up and big pointy witches-capes. Nice.
Being a European (Irish) Pagan -Tradition exported to the USA, with Harry Potter it was re-imported and in some years very nice make-up / dresses, more girls than boys (too lazy?).

Sorry, nothing to do with the book :-).

Finished tonight. As with a few Books by Patterson, more of the same, and imho now it gets less interesting. More fighting, bigger enemies, no real solutions. Therefore one star less.

The same things kind of happened over and over again in this one. The books have gone downhill in my opinion.

This one is sooooo much better than The Final Warning. More action, less Eco-friendly jazz. I hadn't read Maximum Ride in a really long time, but it was just as I'd remembered back in the first three books. Their mission has shifted from Just Survive to Save the World, but I rather like it. It was sort of the first three books blended with the unfortunate fourth. I give it four stars.

3.5 but I'll round. I'm happy with the Max and Fang department. Angel is starting to annoy me a little bit and we still haven't found out what it means when they say "the birds are working". Also who is The Voice? I'm on my way to book 6 and we still haven't found out. Not a bad book it just took awhile for it to finally get to the ending.
