This is a great read! It’s fun, well plotted, and gives of Witcher vibes but with a strong female main character. It’s not heavy on the romance, which I actually appreciated, though there is tons of intrigue and the book lets us travel through a super unique world. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series and highly recommend to all fantasy fans!

This book was almost a 5 for me but a took off a quarter of a point because there wasn’t any romance - I think that comes in the next book which isn’t available on Libby until and of July!!! I should have checked first if this book was a series. That’s a long wait. I feel like I am stuck waiting on so many books to come out with the next adventure. I really enjoyed this story as the plot doesn’t lose out to the mystery aspects. The reveals and twist were perfectly timed and the book maintained an amazing medium pacing. I can’t wait to learn more about more Kols end goals and why Suri is so powerful in the next book!!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book more than I thought i would.

Throne of glass meets the traitor queen kind of vibes.

Looking forward to book two!

This is a difficult one to review! I liked it enough to finish and to want to read book 2 but I can’t help but think it would have flowed better if it was written in first person instead of third. The info dumping was a lot of times and the world building was a bit clunky/confusing.
