3.5 stars rounded up** I want to start off by saying that I was really intrigued by the blurb of the book and immediately made me want to read it.
Starting off, I did struggle with world building, initial history of things and some explanations at the beginning of the book. It felt like some things were glossed over quickly to get to the point which lost me in some areas and are immediately starting off with action.
However, I was interested to find out about what was special about Suri and what everyone’s ulterior motive was. I liked how Suri always fought for herself and didn’t let her situation bring her down, she was always looking for ways to get out of situations and didn’t let opportunities pass her by.
I hope in book 2 there’s more use of magic and other Fae powers as I really wanted to learn about each unique skill other Fae have.
