Luca and Carina were once mad for each other, or so Carina thought. But when their families didn't want them to be together, she was sent away and Luca didn't fight for her. Carina has been called back home, only to find that Luca, the only man she has ever loved, is now engaged to someone else. From the first time they meet again, the chemistry between them sparks out of control, and although Luca has signed a contract he knows is best for his family, he can't resist what he feels for Carina. Complicating things is that someone seems intent on taking Carina out of the equation.

Enemies in Ruin is an explosive, steamy dark romance that pulls you in from the first page and keeps you turning them until the end. I couldn't put this book down and loved both the chemistry and angst that jumps off the page as these two circle each other. I'm loving this co-written series and can't wait for the next one!

Enemies in Ruin is the second book in the Sons of the Mafia series. This book is told in dual points of view from Luca and Carina.

This book has everything I was looking for in a mafia romance. The push and pull between characters. The suspense. The twists and turns. The secrets and lies.

I really enjoyed this book, and am excited to continue on in the series.

This books provides you with

Second chance

Mafia

Mafia is my top tier reading genre so I am really picky when it comes to reading and reviewing them. This book has a great mafia plot, wonderfully strong characters in Luca and Carina and I can’t wait for more from the Sons of Mafia world

If I love it so much why not 5

MMC/FMC- Luca and Carina
POV- 1st person dual
Genre- Mafia Romance
Heat level- this book has all the letters. Letters like C for the C words used, and P for the P words. As well as lite letters B, D, S, and M… for the lite kink.
Series? Y
Safety: No S. Violence or Cliffhanger, but there is OW drama because technically, the MMC is engaged to someone else….
Triggers- Graphic Violence, Explicit Erotic Content, Language, Injury to Animal (spoiler: the dog lives).
Tropes- Second Chance; Hail to the Queen, Baby; Badass Heroine; Do-Si-Do With the Mafioso; Bad Guy Whack-A-Mole; Dysfunctional Families FTW.
What I liked- Carina. Oh, that girl slayed and took names. And the chemistry between the romantic leads was electric.
What I didn’t- I felt like the ending was a little rushed. A chunk of action took place quickly off page and boom. Fin.
Other thoughts- the dog ♥️
Verdict- if you love Mafia Romance, do yourself a favor and read this series.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Reading this was the perfect way to end my day. I enjoyed everything from the action to the drama to the smut. Most of all, I enjoyed the exciting smut. But I still am left with a few questions that didn't get answered. For example, where did Tom disappear to during the balcony scene? Why did Carina's personality shift from 'General-Queen' to a mousy little girl who wanted to almost throw up at the sight of a dead body? That second question has me really confused and it's the main reason I can't give the book a full 5-star rating. Overall, I really liked this book even though it had so many different characters and Families to keep track of (a quick rundown on each family or even a list before the prologue would have helped readers out in a pinch).

Thanks to Booksprout for a copy.

I liked Damon and Lulu but I LOVE Luca and Carina. This book breaks your heart, puts it back together and breaks it again just like Carina's mom's favorite mug (IFYKYK) and it such a beautiful experience.
It's an emotional roller coaster that makes you scream your heart out, stifle some sobs and then stumble your way back in line to ride it all over again.
And the spice! It's the perfect amount to make you sweat but never distract from the amazing story of these two souls finding each other again.
