Meh, interesting from a historical perspective, yet I did not find the excerpts that interesting.

While the chapters on May & June 1665 are interesting it is a little difficult to keep up with. The section on the Great Fire of London is fascinating, especially since it is a first hand account.

To be frank, I expected more accounts of the fire, not just the way Pepys buried his wine and parmesan (why though?!) in the yard for safekeeping and hauled his gold from place to place.

Very interesting but again (in this collection) a few times it really needed some footnotes to explain certain historical references
