This book was an impulse buy. I had been following the author for a few months on FB and seen her post updates to the status of her book coming out. She looked like she was promising, and she wrote erotic romance. I am not at all the vanilla kinda girl, however, any story with a naughty librarian just pushes at my naughty role play button and I had to click buy now on that kindle link. I have had it awhile, but realized I needed to start breaking ground in some of my personal collection. So, this one grabbed at me, and I decided to read. I am so glad I did!

Like I said, I am not vanilla in the least. I am also a picky reader when it comes to sex, romance, and the whole hearts and flowers rundown. This story wasn’t just well written for me, but it had a great flow that kept me reading. I wanted to keep reading, and I really cared about Amber and Jax. I don’t fuss about length of a story, so long as I really like the read. And the moment Jax showed he had an impulse for some dominance I was in it for the long haul. That man was oozing hunky Alpha. Yes, he would take the vanilla road more or less, but allowing her the control sometimes. But I admire women that can get on top and take the reins because I so can’t do that! It is just not in me, and to read about a woman doing it, apparently it just lights my fire. It had a great contemporary conflict that couples today could really possess. I mean people don’t like being lied to, even over little things. Trust is huge, and I can see her inner conflict; also finding a man that can take care of her just as much as she can take care of herself.

I really loved Lacey’s voice as an erotic romance author and I have already took a grab at another book by this author in my review sites folder! I hope I get a chance to read another book by this author! I really recommend this to people that like a quick, sexy, contemporary read!

Although attracted to her neighbor, Amber believes he is a lazy bum. Jax has managed a way to insert himself into Amber's life, but she continues to rebuff him, until one day she comes up with a request, she wants to use him for research for her erotic novel. What starts off as fun turns to something more, but Amber's opinion of Jax leaves little to be desired and Jax has had enough.

Very short story, I liked this one but it needed more. The end is real quick and wrapped up where I would have liked it to have more substance and see Amber go through her ah hah moment.
