The thing that really stood out to me about Libby Lawrence is how beautifully all the characters were written. They were real, flawed, and messy. They weren't perfect, they sometimes made bad decisions and behaved irrationally - but that's life, isn't it? Jodi McAlister absolutely NAILED this, character-wise.

I'm a theatre tragic, so any scenes where the characters were rehearsing or hanging out or performing, I loved. I was a little confused about how they managed to put on so many productions in such a short space of time, but I went with it because I was enjoying the book so much.

I did feel around the halfway point that there was maybe TOO much drama (bordering on melodrama) - but then it is a novel about the theatre, so maybe I shouldn't have been too surprised (!).

Overall, a very nice read with characters who really leaped off the page.
