I SHIP IT! GINNYxJOHN ALL THE WAY. Their understated and probably nonexistent romance kept me glued to the pages. This is chemistry people! Why are there only 5 books in this series? This ship NEEDS TO SAIL!
In all seriousness, this book was a ton of nostalgic fun to read. The meddling but well-meaning teenager who saves the day and the completely evil and unrepentant villains who reveal their whole plans before attempting to murder said teenager brought back many happy memories of the mysteries I devoured as a kid.
This book was entirely predictable but still contained a great deal of charm that made me smile. I'm so glad Ginnie found and recommended it to me! It was ridiculous and sweet and definitely a treasure.
