This is the first book in this new series. I liked this book. It is a good start to this series. Maggie and Owen are kind of like the modern day Juliet and Romero. Only, not as dramatic and there is no death, only a happy ending.

What I liked the most about both Maggie and Owen are that they were both strong, independent individuals but at the same time they were not afraid to admit that they needed one another; despite what their families may think. Although, I felt like Owen's father had the bigger problem. However, what I did miss some in this book and what I thought would have helped it more is passion. There is nothing wrong with more passion. Yet, this book definitely has Caridad Pineiro's style...sweet, romantic, and a charming storyline.

I had a hard time connecting to these characters; something about the tone of the writing and the super rich characters didn't work for me here, which is too bad as I have the second one loaded on my Kindle.

I’ve read books with more pages than this one but this just felt too long.
