** This is the Booktrack Edition - the original one I read was the regular Audible Edition

I think this is my first Booktrack Edition and I quite enjoyed it. I know some people find it distracting with the music and sometimes I do wish the music was a bit quieter but it really helped me focus on what was going on. I personally think it enhanced the experience but maybe could have been a touch quieter.

That being said, I did understand this book a bit more the second time around.
It was basically a Geralt/Witcher adventure but a VERY LONG ONE. Like I enjoy the anthology of book 1-2, this was just a very long version of that.
Like a series of unfortunate events that happened to Geralt - in the day of a life of a Witcher.

I did like the Epilogue the best :P not gonna lie, there was just A LOT going on and hard to keep track of things.
Some sections just go on and on forever, like monologuing and descriptions of places and things, but I guess that's part of the fantasy book genre.

I feel like people can honestly skip this book and just read the Epilogue after "Lady of the Lake" unless they just really want another Geralt adventure.

A really slow start, but man it gets good. Totally worth the slow burn. This book is filled with political plots, fun action and various storylines that end up linking together really well. And the epilogue is super fun and clever.

A meandering tale that transports Geralt from one unfortunate circumstance to the next. I lament the lack of depth to the overall story but it's fun, entertaining and vulgar in a way that feels veritably taboo in our modern time.

Оригинальный цикл читал 5-6 лет назад и не перечитывал.
Эта книга органично и ненавязчиво его дополняет.

the incessant fart jokes alone. girl what? this should’ve stayed in the drafts, it was ATROCIOUS. it does not match the tone of the previous books and is just written so, so terribly. booo tomato tomato
