Third Sarah Gailey book that I absolutely loved so if she has zero fans I’m dead.

I loved the plot of this. I thought it was so unique.

Evelyn was such an interesting protagonist to read about. She is incredibly flawed and so compelling. I loved the glimpses into her childhood that revealed why she is the way that she is. I love her casual cruelty and her utter humanness.

I believe she’s written to be a little unlikable but I like her a lot. I love a woman who will not apologize. Who will not compromise and give up her dreams. A woman who will put herself first always and damn the consequences.

I love the way this was written. I was hooked from the very start.

This is the definition of an unputdownable book.

Overall, this was a very enjoyable read after a reading slump. The audiobook was especially nice to listen to, with the whole pacing and personality to the narrator’s voice.

I wasn’t expecting to become friendly with who I thought at first to be one of the main antagonists, and I certainly wasn’t expecting such character development from our MC. All done and said, this was a great read!

It became clear this book is kind of flat so I just looked up the summary. There ended up being some twists but I would rather read something else.

An amazing concept for a book, but it really didn't work. Evelyn as a character was all over the place, and not particularly likeable.

This novel would be great for a book club or contemporary readers that want to feel like they are reading scifi or thriller but do not want to commit to scifi or thriller. I was looking for a real thriller and this was too mild for that with the way it was marketed and the cover art. Not a bad book at all and plenty of conversation points for discussion.
