To be honest, this book made me not really like Feyre at all. Especially getting to the end of the book.

Even better than ACOTAR, one of the best books I've ever read.
And the final line... *chef's kiss* (screaming & crying at that ending)
And so Tamlin unwittingly led the High Lady of the Night Court into the heart of his territory.
Very much looking forward to reading the next in the series

I think this is the best book in the series. I'm glad Feyre finally came to her senses about Tamlin.

My favorite in the series so far. The first book was fine, but this one had me unable to put it down.

While I'd still consider this one of my favorite books of all time, this reread fell a little flat for me. I don't know if it's because I was listening to the audiobook and I wasn't the biggest fan of the narrator, or if I've reached an age where I find specific parts of SJM's writing style a little insufferable. But overall, I still think it's a very enjoyable read. You just have to be willing to look past the flaws.

I liked book 2 MUCH more than book 1, there are aspects of this book I wish were less rigid. Also I basically cringe everytime they say β€œfemale”

A slight improvement in language when compared to the first book. Still feels as if it is written by/for children however.

This book reads like a fanfiction with a slight bit more polish, instead of being a continuous first draft there may have been two or three (not enough to get rid of inconsistencies and a rare spelling mistake).
More sexualization than the first book, however it is not enjoyable to read, the characters have no chemistry and seem uncomfortable, which made me uncomfortable.

The characters are revisioned to the point of being completely different characters, as well as Feyre being stupidly over-powered and still not having any personality other than 'sex object' and 'needs protecting'.

Villian was more compelling but didn't feel as powerful as the first villian, so there is no growth in the threat other than being told that theres a growing threat.
