Didn't know this was a young adult book, but in hindsight I can see it the way the events are described. Interesting narrator voice.

This is a sweet little tale told by an unusual observer - with the most incredibly tear jerker finish - worth worth worth the read

It's hard not to have loved this book after all I heard about it from fellow readers. I struggled with this one and frankly was glad when it was over.

I feel like such a book snob; I can't believe I resisted reading this because it was considered a children's book. This is hands down one of the best books I have read in a very long time. This is one of those books that reaches out and grabs you, and then never lets go. I think that I will be haunted by this book forever. It has an extremely powerful message of love, loss, and survival. This is a book that should be read and discussed, as it's impact is too big to digest by yourself.

Interesting, but I wish there had been more to really keep my interest. It wasn't exactly a page turner but not totally boring.
