Enjoyable and well-paced. All the elements that I love in a Poirot story are present-the banter between Poirot and Hastings and Japp, Poirot laying out the case details and encouraging his friends to “use their little grey cells”, Poirot solving the case with the “bad guy” being apprehended and life going back to normal. This case almost seems to simple. Although I enjoyed the story, I found a few of Poirot’s deductions to be unbelievable. If you love Poirot, this will not disappoint!

A mystery by the master of Golden Age Detective fiction. A banker walks out of his home and disappears. Japp challenges Poirot to solve the mystery without leaving his flat using just the information provided by Japp, gleaned from the papers and the "little grey cells." Poirot, of course, takes the bet. Where is Mr. Davenheim? Christie fans will not be disappointed.
Mais uma narrativa em que Poirot soluciona o mistério antes da polícia, embora eu tenha resolvido antes dele, hehe.
