This is the sweetest tale of international mollusk trafficking you will ever read.

I love a story like this. It starts out as slow and gentle as our hero, a South African man called Thursday. We meet him as he works at a perlemoen (sea snail) farming operation, innocent to the world around him. As he gets caught up in a whirlwind of poachers, rastafarians and snail traffickers the pace quickens and Thursday is forced into a crazy life that he may not be able to handle.

So engrossing I missed my metro stop - a great read.
