These are nice quiet mysteries, you could call them cozy, but they contain no detecting cats or cross-stitching old ladies, so I still like them. I'd forgotten all about this series since the 3rd book came out, so I was happy to see this one had arrived in the intervening years!

Would have been higher, but the whole Moors thing dragged on and on. Hard to visualise landscape you don't know so a big old chunk of "we can't see anything!" Before it carried on.
