This collection presents as an academic block of personal-professionally researched essays on the after-effects of the Famine, but it had such a profound impact, I wish the cover had more of an indication of the emotion inside! Graphic misery, actual family stories, statistics made real, and modern Americans coming to terms with generational trauma. So valuable as a resource for us white folks to grapple with the concept itself.
