i rate this book a 3.5!! watched the movies before reading this book so i already knew the whole plot and everything that happens but ofc the movies aren’t always like the books so it was fun to see the differences between the two. this book was a quick and fun read.

Okay, so let me talk about this book for a minute. When this book was published in 2014, I thought it was intriguing. However, I never picked it up because it wasn't "my type of book." "To All The Boys I Loved Before" has a misleading title. It insinuates that it's about this girl who loves all these guys and is kind of boy crazy. At least, that's how I misinterpreted it. This book isn't about a bunch of different guys and a boy-crazy girl. It's about family, sisterhood, friendship, a teenage girl who is trying to deal with her emotions, and a bad boy who ends up being a sweetheart. I genuinely loved this book so much. Not gonna lie, I went in with low standards (I wasn't expecting to like the book) but it completely and utterly swept me away. I couldn't stop reading. In fact, I stayed up until two o'clock last night and had to force myself to put the book down and go to sleep. This book is amazing, and to all those that haven't read it, I suggest you give it a chance. This book is so much more than what the title suggests.

I ordered the second one through prime but I couldn't wait until tomorrow so I bought the ebook!

3.5 love letters.

there was a time when my w h o l e timeline was swooned over peter kavinsky so i took a chance on the movie and book. voila, here i am.

it's definitely a cute and addicting read, and most importantly i love the interaction between lara jean, kitty, and margot. song girls have my heart! witnessing their affection to each other makes me dream about a close age-gap sister.
second, i don't really into woahwoahwoah peter kavinsky. seems that i expected more of him and dissapointed. like was he that kind? funny? fun? he tastes ordinary for me. some other times i feel like the explanation of him is not enough, i need to see more of his personalities other than he is handsome, easy going, famous, famous, famous, and lack of exposure. if lara jean can be homebody, such a tease with kitty, have her own rules, i wish peter could be more of that.
i though he could win me over but no (i mean the hype was huge, man).

and that's it, lol, the love line between lara jean and peter seems bland to me, so does the rest.

i encourage you to have a ride with this one anyway. i guarantee some love letters will not hurt you.

I love this book--it has become one of my new favorites. Not because it's a grand story, necessarily, but precisely because it's a story of human experiences and growing up.

The main character is someone to whom I can relate and with whom I'd like to be friends. With her "old soul" interests of scrap booking & baking and her very close, special relationship with her sisters, Lara Jean is someone with whom you'd want to share Friday night movie nights with. Her distinctive personality made the story realistic and appealing--not to mention hilariously entertaining in some parts!

I thought that the other characters were generally strong, and I like how they are present as context to Lara Jean's story. None of them is as one-sided or predictable as you'd expect from the beginning.

My ONLY complaint is the ending (don't worry--no spoilers!). There's build up to this thing, and then a turn of events, and a gentle closing of her experience. After all that, I wanted a definitice ending (for those who have finished this book, you know what I mean). On the one hand, I like the ending because I think it's realistic-definitely not your sappy chick flick rom com.

On the other hand, I think that the story could have gone on a bit more to give some further peek into the aftermath of things. Plus, I thought that there were some questions left answered, mainly about particular characters--how does Margot reallt feel now? Where does all this leave Josh, ultimately? What is Lara Jean going to do?!?!

At any rate, I love it and I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a light hearted, feel-good and laugh-out-loud, kind of book.
