To me Catherine Barter’s writing is bland, boring, predictable, and overly long winded, Making the story hard to finish, especially when you can predict whats going to happen roughly 4 chapters before it does.

CW: death, misogyny, religious control

What if you needed to lie to tell the truth? A brilliant fictional take on the Fox sisters. Moral ambiguity and creepy spiritual visitations mixed with activism in history... absolutely excellent.
