A quick little story that no doubt had its genesis in Hayter's own experience. A young woman finding herself--Art and Life and All That--in Paris has finally reached rock bottom. More desperate than the Robin Hudson stories and less outright daffy. Twist ending wasn't particularly. I had actually forgotten I had it on Kindle and had already read it once; until about halfway through, it is fairly unmemorable.
Two-and-a-half stars.
