This is not what I was expecting. For some reason I thought it was folk tales and/or mythology of some sort. Also, I wasn’t entirely sure of what was going on the entire time. But the illustrations were nice!

Use this for a lesson on creativity and humor, and for a gentle introduction to the sometimes brutal world of playing the dozens.

Such a cute book, with amazing pictures. The historical relevance of these saved phrases can not be overstated, either.

Simply a collection of "I once knew a guy who..." type anecdotes and exaggerations. Don't have much else to say about it. It was ok.

I like Zora's voice, but I found the intro and the afterword more interesting, though I thought the illustrations worked well with the text. Not entirely certain this is a children's book though.
