Ohhh ngl, this was most unexpected in the best sense of the word. I think I'll keep reading the series, the drawing is gorgeous, the plot very interesting. I just think it was a crime how short this was. I know there's many more volumes (?), but I'm greed with good stuff and this is definitely it.

It’s difficult to review something so short, and I didn’t realise it would be so short when I got the ebook… but for what was there, it was definitely decent. I think I just needed much more to be able to rate it better!

Within the limited space, there was a little bit of characterisation (lesbians wooh), the art was beautiful and the plot showed promise. I had some logic questions (how did this random girl know the big bull was a god?) but otherwise it was definitely decent. 3 stars.

I wrote to Natasha on Instagram saying, "This is the comic that I knew I wanted to read but hadn't yet found. Thank you for bringing Aydis and this story to life! Representation matters. Cannot wait for the next one!"

Absolutely loved it. <3

Lesbian feminist Viking warrior on a mission to end the oppressive reign of Odin. UM YES. Cannot recommend this enough.

4.5/5 stars. Four score and seven years ago a dear friend lent me the first volume of Heathen. I am delighted to have finally read this awesome Viking lesbian comic! Also, I am frustrated that I feel the need to buy the second volume ASAP (because my TBR is already sooooo long).

Lesbians? Gods? Fantasy? Sign me up! I am going to be honest I was not a fan of the artwork but the story hooked me in. I cannot wait to continue this series!

Absolutely gorgeous art, bad-ass warrior women, and Norse mythology? Oh heck yes. I loved being able to read about a mythology that gets the shaft a lot of the time, which is too bad because there are so many memorable characters that are well fleshed out even in their short introductions.
Will definitely be picking up the next volume!

This is the start of something that promises to be amazing. My (comic) dealer told me this is his #1 pick for 2017 and I am in complete agreement with him. This is on my pick-list now and I can't wait for issue 2.
