This was actually really enjoyable! Sucks that it got cancelled, I would have loved to have seen more. This Loki is one of my favorites.

Beautiful covers from Yildirim and I guess Curiel did the colors. Bazaldua did good art in the pages, with MacDonald doing the last issue.
The introduction (atleast to me) of Now and Then and how meta that was; explaining the volumes of stories for different characters, striking a deal with them but they forgot it. Making it an oppprtunity for Loki to be a hero and die a hero's death, I'm skeptical or cynical. I kept expecting Loki to mess it up or the children having a darker purpose for setting that up. But it's fun seeing him become an anti-hero though mostly a hero here with a carefree disposition in facing death or nightmare. His silly battle with Nightmare is funny and quite clever how he tricked him. Loki giving a love advice has truth in it. He applied to be an Avenger! It's too far from the War of Realms Loki though. It's like he's rebooted. Or maybe that's what happened. I don't even know if it's a 616 canon, all the events shown especially him able to carry Mjolnir and Thor as the Unfather. And I expected a sexier Loki here because of the cover art.
