Only my 3rd book by this author. I truly enjoyed this story. I listened to an audio book. The Reader was in character. The masks come off it gets personal then intimate without ever knowing ones name.

I rated this book a 4 Star read. It was good. Very descriptive. This book was about the journey of two people who meet and get to know one another over a 24 hour period. Both people have been through so much over the years. I enjoyed reading about these characters. From the stories of their past you get to know them for the persons they've become, the people they used to be and the people they will be. I enjoyed the unraveling of their day's activities. There were some steamy scenes in this book. Glad I read Pleasure and Decadence before this book. I still don't recall the name of the male character, Maybe he wasn't given a name. LOL. I didn't want the book to end. I needed to know what really happened to the characters in the end. I do recommend.

I'm giving it 2 stars because I hate to give any book 1 star. I used to really love EJD's books but I think I may have outgrown him.

This was a very good book, I liked how he mentioned characters from his other books, this book had me on edge on some parts, gasping at others. You would never believe what all could go on in 24 hours and how so many things could be so different if just one thing would have went in a different direction. I was upset with the end because I still have questions that may never be answered. Great job Eric.

It's been awhile since I have read an Eric Jerome Dickey novel. This book took too long to get into, and the ending was up in the air. Not as good as his other books.

Excellent work as usual, but so many unanswered questions! I smell a sequel.

I shouldn't be crying over a book like this but HERE I AM, EMOTIONAL AS HELL. Well done, Eric Jerome Dickey. This is the first book of yours I've read and I'll probably read a lot more.

I really like how realistic all the relationships were, including the marriage, the dating and the one night stand. It wasn't pure smut and 'filth'. There were actual emotions there that both main characters exhibited that were so believable and raw and beautiful all at once. The drama near the end with the crimes and all.. amazing. You really wouldn't have expected him to have that kind of ending.

But I have one burning question.

WHAT IS HIS NAME???

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It was a little slow getting into at first and some of the narration was a little repetitive, but I liked the story. I really enjoyed the chemistry between the two characters.
