A small part of Australia's history told in narrative form.
This is a nice little piece of history from the sixties when the American space program was just getting started. I was hoping the language would be for a slightly older audience (upper primary) and was also hoping there would be a short paragraph at the end of the book or a replica of an article from the era. Sadly there is only a tease of one in the end papers.

This book tells the story of a real event that shows the power of one individual and children and how they can change the world. I love the 1950's vibe in the illustrations. It would be nice to have a short factual information section at the back.
