I was about to submit a story for the Brick Lane Bookshop’s Short Story Prize when I thought, “hmm, I should probably read the stuff they usually pick first”. Well, the caliber is damn high. And it’s such a pleasure reading new voices - I can’t wait to read more from each author featured on the longlist.
