Really bizarre and unusual world with a self-deprecating hero, hilarious sidekicks, enjoyable bit of romance, and talking animals. Honestly, they had me at talking animals. It was a nice, new and refreshing book in this new fad of vampires, angels, zombies, faeries or whatever else is popular. Or at least I seem to come across a lot of books capitalizing on the paranormal...but maybe that's b/c I like them? Hmmmm.
